I really enjoyed working  with you.  You really wanted me to have an instrument that I was going to love.

 

I never felt as though you were trying to push me into choosing an instrument.  You let me get to know the instruments by myself without influencing me.  Also, your calmness and sense of humor made violin trial pleasant when we could easily have been stressed by this important decision.

 

My teacher thought the instrument would be as much violin as I'd need for many years.  She described its sound as like chocolate (supreme compliment from her), and we both admired the sound quality, which is dark and sweet, while the instrument is still very powerful. 

 

The violin is exciting and fun to play.

We made this process extra challenging for Peter by not knowing what type of sound Field would prefer, at first, and by leaning  initially toward  a violin from another maker , which he had not ever heard.  Peter patiently asked a few seemingly casual questions, and then picked out the perfect instrument for Field on the second round of tries.
